Cats U.K. were a girl band who had a hit with 'Luton Airport' in October 1979.  It got to number 22 in the UK singles chart.

The song was inspired by the 1977 Campari television commercial in which cockney model & actress Lorraine Chase responds to the romantic line 'Were you truly wafted here from paradise?' with the reply, 'Naahhhh, Luton Airport!'.

Band member Deena Payne went on to appear with Lorraine Chase in the popular UK soap opera 'Emmerdale Farm'.

The phrase 'OOH-EE-OOH' has been the bane of Lutonians ever since.
